OIS New School Year!

Okinawa International School opened the new school year, 2015-2016 with everyone welcoming the new parents, students, teachers and staff.  From the first day of school, students began their academic journey to success. Our Grades 5 and 6 started their inquiry on their Exhibition. Parents’ workshops were conducted to support them in building their understanding about the IB education. We are also continuing our efforts to upgrade technology in the classrooms and other learning resources throughout the campus.  Curriculum is comprehensive and regularly being reviewed and assessed.  School events are being planned and studied.

The strong determination of the students as well as the teachers’ great commitment made OIS pursue her goal to continue providing IB education and prepare the students for their future.

This year will be an exciting and stimulating one for all students and staff.  Our focus this school year is to continue providing foundations that will help achieve our dreams and aspirations. Every level and department will evaluate and reflect to consolidate and reiterate the principles, values and beliefs that Okinawa International School stands for.

I am grateful for everyone’s confidence and trust to our excellent programs and curriculum.  I look forward for our children’s progress and joyful smiles, parents – teachers /home- school pro-active collaboration and an inspiring and productive school year for everyone.
